Types of Giving
Become a Member! Help be an advocate for salmon in our watershed. Your support makes a big difference to a small organization like the CRWP: membership contributions support 20% of our core operating budget that funds our watershed education and fish habitat restoration programs throughout the year. Membership benefits include advance notice of events and programs, our print and e-mail newsletter The Copper River Runner, and discounts on some events and merchandise. Join with an Annual Membership or join as a Monthly Sustainer.
Give a Gift Membership. A gift membership is a wonderful way to support the CRWP’s work. Great for the holidays, and same membership benefits apply.
Employer Matching. Your gift could be doubled! Remember, if your employer offers to match your contribution, you can double your gift today. Just mail or e-mail us your employer’s matching form when you make your gift.
Make a Tribute or Memorial Gift. A tribute or memorial gift in honor or memory of a friend or loved one is a thoughtful way to recognize that person and honor his or her interest in the Copper River watershed. Please include a note with your gift acknowledging the person.
Stock or Securities Gift. Contact our office at (907)424-3334 or info@copperriver.org or your financial advisor to learn about the benefits and ease of making a gift of appreciated stock to the CRWP.
Planned Giving: A Future Gift for a Future of Salmon! A planned gift to the CRWP can help you meet your financial goals while providing long-term support to protect and restore the Copper River watershed. Making a bequest can be as simple as designating the CRWP as a beneficiary of an asset like a bank account, retirement savings, or a life insurance policy. A bequest is one of the best known ways to make a lasting gift. Designating transfer of a specific asset to a charity like the Copper River Watershed Project in your will makes it possible for you to make your wishes known today without relinquishing needed assets during your lifetime. Contact us (e-mail, or call at (907)424-3334) to talk over your ideas.
Scholarship Gift. Donate a gift to help Copper River region students in pursuit of higher education in resource management.
Corporate Sponsorship. There are different levels of support with different marketing advantages. Contact the CRWP at (907)424-3334 or send us an e-mail for details. Corporate sponsorship is good exposure for your company and good for the long-term health of the Copper River.
