CRWP is convening a temperature monitoring working group for the Copper River watershed.
Goals include:
- Standardizing temperature monitoring methodology
- Identifying current and future site locations for temperature monitoring
- Deploy and collect temperature from up to 30 additional temperature loggers in the watershed
Coordinated temperature monitoring in the Copper River watershed will allow for comparison of data across agencies and diverse hydrologic regimes and help partners better understand responses in Pacific Salmon populations, including changes to salmon life stage transitions such as emergence, seasonal and life stage migrations, and food availability impacting growth and development.
