Register Now for Fall 2016 Fisheries Technology Classes at UAS
Alaska is currently experiencing a shortage of fisheries technicians and fisheries biologists – a trend predicted to continue for at least the next 10 years. The University of Alaska Southeast, Sitka Campus, has partnered with industry and regulatory agencies to develop programs that can meet this growing need for qualified personnel. Scholarship funding is available for internship and work experience training.
Course work may be completed on iPads provided by the program, and the iPads come loaded with all of the coursework, lectures, videos, FAQs, and exams, with no internet required. The University of Alaska/Southeast’s Fisheries Technology program offers three types of program degrees (which may be completed in sequence) — take a look and see if one is right for you! A program summary and list of courses offered is available here: Fall16 Fish Tech Program Summary.
