Odiak Pond Field Study

Cordova Students have been studying this salmon habitat since 2010. They have successfully added Odiak Pond and Stream to State of Alaska's Andaramous Waters Catalog and continue to monitor water quality.

Odiak Pond Field Study

Cordova 7th graders have adopted Odiak Pond and each school year they study the habitat for their ecosystem unit. Students collected the data necessary to nominate this waterbody to the State of Alaska's Anadromous Waters Catalog and have initiated a tally of debris and garbage that ends up in Odiak Pond.
