Wild Food & Films the theme of CRWP events
The annual membership events of the Copper River Watershed Project
Each fall in Cordova, and winter in the Copper Basin, we host an annual gathering to celebrate the watershed and it's bountiful harvest with members, partners and friends from both upriver communities and Cordova. These events bring together residents of the watershed to learn about the organization's new and exciting projects and to celebrate the subsistence lifestyle of the region.
Cordova Event
A Wild Berry Cook-off is the main event in Cordova, with great prizes awarded for best drink, finger food, side dish, entree, dessert, most creative and best in show--all including local wild berries as an ingredient. A Berry Patch Walk and Silent Auction of homemade jams and liquors round out the evening.
2011 Dates TBD
Copper Basin Event
A Wild Food Feast is the main event in Glennallen, with prizes awarded for dishes made from ingredients that flew, grew, walked or swam in the watershed.
